I got the non-HDMI LCD kit only version and put it in my OEM case with a very early VA0 [****] board. This is my second time trying a display from this company (the first was a WonderSwan Color one), and this one worked out just as well. The product page says the installation has become easier and no cutting is required, and that was the case for me, so very happy there. The display looks great, has good modes, and good display adjustment options if you didn't set it exactly right in the case. I like how it gives the option to turn the touch controls off if you only want to control the menu with the buttons, which is what I did.
The kit came with everything I needed and more. It came with two ribbon wires for connecting the display to the board, even though you only need one. There was also some extra jumper wire and extra double sided tape that I can save and use on other things, which I've done. The only weird thing is the product page says the non-HDMI version comes with "5x 10pF capacitors", but it doesn't come with them and it doesn't even need them, so no problem there - just need to fix the info on the page.
Also, the screen cover that has the SEGA logo and Game Gear written on it isn't 100% like the OEM one, but it's still very nice and definitely close enough. The untrained eye wouldn't notice anything strange and just think it's a normal Game Gear.
Last thing - same as my other purchase, the packaging is 120% A++. Very protective, so no worry at all of the kit getting messed up in shipping. The kit comes in a plastic case that can be reused, if you want to keep it.
